Want to make a big difference by doing the smallest thing? Join the thousands of Ontarians who are helping to reduce the strain on our electrical grid when demand is highest.

Brant County Power Inc. in cooperation with The Ontario Power Authority (OPA) are working together to help homeowners do their part. Just by having a Peaksaver thermostats installed in your home you do your part by reducing the strain on the electrical grid.

With the Peaksaver program you can have a FREE programmable thermostat installed in your house (valued at $225). Both the Peaksaver thermostat and the installation are FREE to the homeowner. Provincially Peaksaver events will raise your houses temperature by 2 degrees Celsius. This change on a provincial scale releases enough energy to assist in avoiding a blackout.

The Ontario Power Authority is currently revising the Peaksaver program to bring you a new version of this initiative. In the coming months we will be announcing the Peaksaver Plus program with newer technology.
